I wish I had seen this system several years ago. I’ve been struggling with a weight belt when diving in cold weather in a 7.5 mil wetsuit, and until the DUI system came to me, nothing was working. As other reviewers commented, I like the ability to position the weights lower off my waist and on my hips. With a traditional weight belt, they ended up around my ankles. With the DUI system, the suspenders put the weights exactly where they need to be. I need 24 pounds total when diving aluminum 80 tank with a 7.5 mm wetsuit, and that’s way too much weight to carry in my BCD. With the DUI system, I put all the weight and the belt pockets, and I don’t carry any weights in my BCD anymore when I’m diving in Coldwater. When diving in the Caribbean and warmer water, I don’t take the DUI system because I need 6 pounds max with a 3 mil wetsuit there. There are only two side pockets on the 40-pound system, but each pocket has two inside pockets that will easily hold a 6-pound hard lead each or a 5-pound birdshot soft pack. For me, ditching weights Is a lot like pulling the rip cord on a parachute – it’s best if you avoid the situation where that’s a solution to the problem, and more than likely, the results of doing so are not going to be what you expect. For that reason, ditching weights is not something that I do or practice, especially when weighted properly. That’s a good thing when using the DUI classic weight system. The quick release for the DUI classic is a threaded loop and cable system, and that would be a real challenge to put back together on a boat and virtually impossible to do underwater. For that reason, I would definitely not recommend the DUI classic weight belt system for anybody doing their basic open water certification training, where they stress ditching weights for new divers. For experienced divers, and especially for those who know what they’re doing and are carrying extra weight, such as in a dry suit or a thick wetsuit in cold water, the DUI classic belt system can be an outstanding addition to their kit.I’m 6’ 2” and weigh 200 pounds on most days. According to the size chart, I was right at the edge between a medium and a large, and I ordered the medium. The medium fit was OK with just a rash guard, but when I put the wetsuit on, the medium was too small. I will return the medium and order the DUI weight system in size large.I give it five stars. The size too small issue is all on me
